Which is an example of a covalent bond?

OpenStudy (jessiegonzales):

Ions in a bar of pure iron are surrounded by a large number of valence electrons. Is Ions one of your choices?

"Ion" is a reference to a charged atom. Covalent bonds are bonds that are formed when two atoms share electron(s). One example would be the bond between carbon atoms in a lipid. An ionic bond is formed via attraction, like what is found in salk (NaCl). Na is +1 and Cl is -1 so the two are attracted to each other. But, because the do not truly share electrons they are weak bonds.

Opps, I meant "salt" not "salk".
