The cash-and-carry policy was a WWII policy. Um... it was away that america could get equipment and materials to England while still remaining neutral.
@watermelon16 so b? I understand the policy just didn't know which one to put for the answer.
One minute it could be B or D. Let me think....hmm
"Under the American Neutrality Act of 1937 the US was forbidden from supplying weapons to any country involved in a war. "Cash and Carry" is the term applied to an amendment to the Neutrality Act in 1939 that allowed countries to purchase weapons and war materials from the US provided they were paid for in cash and were transported in the purchasers own ships." -definitions of world differences.
B and D pretty much say the same thing. So it isn't a very good question. Haha I would choose D
or B... I am not sure because they say the same thing pretty much
America helped france during this time also
But I think that it must be B because they did it so that they could help England. So choose B
AWESOME! Thanks so much :) @watermelon16
"(b) to maintain the neutrality of the United States while giving aid to Britain" is correct, btw.
