which pair of words best completes the analogy cell:organism _____:______

OpenStudy (deepika.comet):

OPTIONS..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

elemet:compound nail:house paper:library sand: ocean

OpenStudy (deepika.comet):

uhmm..

OpenStudy (deepika.comet):

PAPER:LIBRARY

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, it is element:compound. A cell is akin to the base unit of an organism; organisms are made of cells. So, is a library made of paper? A house made of nails? @faye0422 @deepika.comet

OpenStudy (deepika.comet):

Organism contains cells and library contains papers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, one not all libraries do contain paper (there are completely electron libraries now). Two, organisms are more correctly made of cell(s). A single cell organism is still made up of one cell. This is where the paper library will break down. I agree that the way you stated it they are analogous, but I do not believe that is the best answer.

OpenStudy (deepika.comet):

ok...!

OpenStudy (abhisar):

element:compound
