How would you write 0.3y + 1.2 = –0.4x in standard form?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

Hello :) standard form would be ax + by = c where a b and c are integers (not decimals or fractions) to do this you want to get all the terms with variable to one side of the equation so I suggest adding 0.4x to both sides :) then you can subtract 1.2 from both sides. then to make it so that there are no decimals, you can multiply each term by 10 that should give you your equation in standard form we apologize for the inconvenience of the site going down, hopefully you'll be around so see this, good luck :)
