help with vector question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

PQ = OQ - OP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find OQ, OP vectors and subtract them to get PQ vector. OQ and OP vectors are the position vectors of the points Q and P respectively. Hope that helps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what's your O?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For getting the position vector of any point Q and P you have to take the reference of O, which is the origin (0, 0, 0).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For example consider point P(-1, 3, -1). Its x-coordinate is -1, y-coordinate is 3 and z-coordinate is -1. Hence the position vector of P is OP = -1i + 3j - 1k Basically you just put the x-coordinate with i, the y-coordinate with j, and the z-coordinate with k

Can you find OQ vector as we found OP vector above?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OQ = 7i + 4j -5k
