Okay so I get substitution but how can I solve this with elimination? 3x + 4y = 10 and 4x + 2y = 10 I already know x=2 and y=1 but I want to do this with elimination!

multiply eqn 2 with 2 you get 8x+4y=20 then eliminate 1eqn1-modified eqn 2 gives result

Multiply the 2nd equation by a negative two, and then add the two equations together. You will end up with -5x = -10. Solve for x at this point. Then, you can either use elimination again, but this time eliminate x and solve for y, or, you can just plug x into either equation using substitution and solve for y.

Dang! OKAY!
