Which best describes the antecedent in the sentence? He got on the trolley in the center of town and rode it to its last stop. A. unclear or confusing B. clear C. missing

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

missing. Who is " he " referring to ? It is missing. I think...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

don't thank me yet....I am not 100% sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be Unclear or confusing then?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I think its just missing.... But what is confusing me, is if that is the pronoun they are referring to that is supposed to have an antecedent. Or is it " it " ? Because if it is " it " , then the antecedent is trolley.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmmm, Im thinking it's just "He" I'll go with missing and see what happens. Thanks for the help anyway if it's wrong :)

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

let me know when you find out....you got me curious now...lol :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you think you can check my answer for the question before I can submit it?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I can do my best

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which best describes the antecedent in the sentence? She wrote a letter to their complaint department, but it was not resolved. A. missing B. unclear or confusing C. clear I said missing

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I agree It does not say who she is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first question was incorrect, but the second one wasn't

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Surprisingly it was clear!

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

on the first one you asked ? It was clear ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes!

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

maybe the pronoun was " it " and the antecedent was trolley.....that is clear. I thought they were talking about " he ". I am sorry

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

look at your second question ? How would you know if they were talking about " she " or " it " ?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

because if you were talking about " it " , then the antecedent would be letter. If your talking about " she " then the antecedent is missing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im going to just move on to other tests, as I have a lot to do today. If I need any help reviewing my answers would you be able to try and help me ?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I can try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks anyway

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

just tag me when your ready

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

good luck :)
