Well I know A is wrong because I don't remember learning anything about "training" or "programs" in colonial times. B is also wrong because men were treated *slightly* better than women and children. C seems correct. And D might be right in some cases, but can't be the answer since they are asking for a general answer, not an answer for a specific person. I don't even think they had fixed hours anyways.
