Which is the equation of the line? A. x – 2y = 6 B. –2x + y = 6 C. 6x – 3y = 6 D. –3x + 6y = 6 http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/245000_245500/245366/1/51cafc5019ddcb3556be65cccb01c83d445e4c89/VHS_PA_S2_02_L214_L314-UT_Q12.gif

Any ideas?

First, turn your equations into standard-form: y=mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then, look at your graph and find the y-intercept and slope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your y-intercept is -3. So you can throw out equations C and D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can also throw out equation B, because you aren't dividing 6 by -2. The answer is A.

I hope you can see the procedure here and do this in the future.
