Hi guys, I need someone to check something for me! I will post what needs to be checked down below!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here is my assignment, directions and the sheet that goes with directions. I completed this assignment, and got a F on it. What did I do wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here is what I wrote for this...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I don't mean to be rude, but I will be brutally honest. That is worth the failing mark, but not because you don't understand the play. Rather, you didn't understand the assignment. You needed to provide a clear outline, and really, they gave you a format that you could work with. You need to write the outline for an essay, but you only provided two paragraphs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's okay you said that. I was clueless when it came to this assignment. Can you help me? I would be very appreciative.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To start off, let's try a thesis that will work. Normally, thesis', when you have a text, start with something like "I am able to conclude, through the play, Macbeth, Brutus is a patriot for, reason #1, reason #2, and reason #3.". Now, I usually don't write my thesis' like that, but for an outline, it should be fine, especially if you're in Grade 10 or so. Next, work with your supporting paragraphs and counterarguments.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can some one help me on mine plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll write that out, and then see what you think! Give me a minute please (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wat she doing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure, take your time @madesynrose And what do you need help with @mikuhatsune?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh Is the example a complete sentence, sentence fragment, or run-on sentence? Heather had style she had confidence

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe that would be a run-on.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you guys help me in a few more plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mikuhatsune I'm guessing a run-on, since it should be "She had style and she had confidence or something like that. Also, I think it would be best if you asked your questions separately, since it is one of the rules on this website to not have more then one question in a discussion. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so can you help with few more plz @ManImStumped

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@madesynrose What grade are you in? And is there a rubric provided? You should always check rubrics, since those show what the teacher expects of you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the example a complete sentence, sentence fragment, or run-on sentence? Lawrence likes to sit and watch the trains go by, counting the number of compartments

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Complete

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ManImStumped I am in 10th grade. I did this as my thesis. I am able to conclude, through the play Julius Caesar that Brutus was a betrayer for killing his best friend Julius Caesar, and ruling Rome with the wrong people. I'm still so confused though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ManImStumped can you plz help me with 19 more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the example a complete sentence, sentence fragment, or run-on sentence? In the corner beneath the lamp

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, I can help @mikuhatsune. @madesynrose Oh, wow, I forgot it's Julius Caesar, not Macbeth. LOL, I've done too many Shakespeare plays. Also, yes, I can see why you're confused. They've asked for counter points as well as supporting, and that will likely confuse you. First, choose if you want him as a betrayer or a patriot.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mikuhatsune Sentence fragment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I want him as a betrayer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the example a complete sentence, sentence fragment, or run-on sentence? Which she seemed to think she owned

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright, now find all the very strong points on why he's a betrayer. Give at least five. And take your time. If you see something where he looks like both a betrayer and a patriot (like when he tells them he can't kill antony or something cause he doesn't want to be a villain), jot it down, and we'll go from there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you think it is @mikuhatsune

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a run on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mikuhatsune Read it out to yourself and think of whether it needs more to complete it, if it's too much at once or feels awkward, or if it seems complete.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't even understand the play, that's why it's so hard for me to find my points.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

..Is the example a complete sentence, sentence fragment, or run-on sentence? Which she seemed to think she owned

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, that's not good. When is this due?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And no @mikuhatsune it is not a run-on, try again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://writingcenter.unc.edu/handouts/fragments-and-run-ons/ this might help you, @mikuhatsune

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm odk what about this one Is the example a complete sentence, sentence fragment, or run-on sentence? Which she seemed to think she owned

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure. I don't see a due date for it yet. I like to get my work done early. I'll look for 5 points. When I find my five points, I will come back to you.
