@js7474 Hello. To be a form of life, the following qualifications must be met: Able to perform metabolic functions, meaning obtain energy from molecules. Able to reproduce* Able to independently interact with their environments** Maintain an internal environment, enough that all metabolic functions, etc work There are few others. So, can a computer perform metabolic functions? Can it independently interact with its environment? *This is why most scientists do not consider viruses or prions a life form. They have no form of metabolic pathways. **This means interact in all ways. Responding to stimuli and adapting behaviors and genetics over time.
