How many 2-digit numbers can be formed using only the digits 2, 3, 5, and 6, if the digits are not be repeated within a number? Please Help!!! This is a Permutation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have a permutation without repetition so you want which formula do you know can help you solve for this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uh i don't know...

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well for the 1st digit you have 4 choices... and the 2nd digit there will be 3 choices.. so by the fundemental theorem of counting you have 4 x 3 ways

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know that formula but i need to figure out how to make 2 digit numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with them

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well you don't need a formula... for this question you just need to know the number of choices at each stage,, and multiply the number of choices...
