How does photojournalism differ from journalism

OpenStudy (hugsnotughs):

Photojournalism is the art or practice of communicating news by photographs, especially in magazines. Journalism is the activity or profession of writing for newspapers or magazines or of broadcasting news on radio or television. The difference is that photojournalism is a special kind of journalism. While journalism itself involves the reporting of news (whether in print or on TV, radio, or the internet), photojournalism refers to the taking of pictures (photographs, videos, illustrations), usually to enhance a news story. Many reporters, especially in print, have relied on what used to be called the "press photographer" to take the right pictures that will make an impact in the story.
