how could two tall pea plants produce a short offspring

OpenStudy (anonymous):

study mendelian genetics

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Hello @ramonricks !

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Two tall pea plants can produce a short offspring if they have a heterozygous genotype. What i mean is if Tt is crossed with Tt then pea plants produced will have the genotypes TT, Tt & tt. Now among them tt will be the short one

its called a punnett square for a reason

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you can use a punnet square to figure this out. If both plants are tall, they are a carrier for the gene that causes the plants to be short.
