Find all polar coordinates of point P where P=(3, -pi/4)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

((-1)^n * 3 , -pi/4 + n*pi) for any integer, n.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer choices I got were (3, -pi/4 +2npi) or (3, pi/4+(2n+1)pi)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(3, -pi/4+2npi) or (-3, -pi/4+2npi)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

well 2pi makes a full circle so any multiple of 2pi will get the angle back around to itself again ... and the radius they are simply choosing not to alter.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

but to be thorough, they should have included the negative radius and the pi rotations as well ....
