What is your question, @Hilisa ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have a lot! If I posted could you answer? @kohai

OpenStudy (kohai):

It depends, give me one of them and I'll see if I can :) I just need to know the topic

A clothing store has a sale on T-shirts. The shirts come in small, medium, and large sizes and can be red, black, or white. How many different combinations of shirts are available? @kohai

OpenStudy (kohai):

So an easy way to actually see that is to do this: So for the small, there will be three combinations. And if you do that with the mediums, six combinations. If you do that with the larges, nine combinations. You multiply. |dw:1401091362791:dw|

So 9 total?

@kohai

OpenStudy (kohai):

|dw:1401091482834:dw| Yeah. So if there are 3 sizes and 3 colors, you do 3*3 = 9 total combinations. Or you can add, like I just showed in the picture.
