I wonder which physic textbook(s) and mathematics textbook(s) are used by undergraduates majoring in physic in mit. Can someone tell me the title of those textbooks.Thank you a lot.
If you look at a class web page, you can sometimes find the syllabus for it. That usually has the required and recommended books. Also, with their OCW classes, you can get even more information: http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/physics/8-01sc-physics-i-classical-mechanics-fall-2010/Syllabus/
well i dont know about undergrad syllabus.. but halliday resnick is a pretty classic text book. And you can do some I.E Irodov for problem solving :)

Random231 is saying something related to a very good point. Professors at many major universities have commented that the basics of physics, biology, chemistry, geology, etc. have mostly stayed the same for over a hundred years. A really good, current textbook is going to cover the same basic ground, no matter the author. A few things are new, like changes in plate tectonics in geology or the Higgs Boson search in physics, so it is worth it to get a book that is no more than 10 years old. Other than that, the information and how well you can learn it are all going to depend on the quality of the book and not it being the same exact one MIT uses.
