Am I right or wrong?

OpenStudy (thatgirl3390):

with what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with this

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

oh whoa limits >,> I'm not all that good at them... but I thought vertical asymptotes came from the denominator = 0

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

what did you use to find the limit? graph or table?

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

then 2^- means replace x with a number really close to 2 but a little less than 2 right? so a little less than 2 minus 2 = negative... I think

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

question 6 looks correct to me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I didn't use either. @jdoe0001 I assumed, I had to plug in x. I used the rule of substitution, is it wrong?

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

well it was the right idea, but do you understand that the 2^- means that you would plug in a number that's only a tiny bit less than 2? like 1.99999

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

@TheHero that's correct for number 6, you're meant to use substitution but for 5 you're supposed to use a graph or make a table

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

oh right xD I forgot to read that part :P you could solve it without graphs and tables though...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, -infinite and 2, correct?

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

that's what I got ^_^ :P

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yeap

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, wow, thank you so much you two!

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):
