B. “Common knowledge” is another term for “direct quotation” which requires a citation. C. Common knowledge is not considered plagiarism because it does not use quotations. D. Common knowledge does not require a citation because the facts or ideas are widely known by the general public, which also explains why it is not a form of plagiarism.
