the question will be posted in the comments. (: please help will become a fan and you'll receive a medal.
I only know 45... Which is A (:
okeey thank you(:
@Embryo ?
For question 47, you want to get rid of all those denominators, so in order to do that, you need some number that will eliminate all of the denominators, do you know what number that is?
You're going to multiply all of the numbers by this number so the question will look much nicer
a number that all three go into right?
15?
All three of the denominators yes, so a number that is a multiple of both 3 and 5, since you have two 3's
Yup! good job, now multiply everything by 15
you should get something that looks like this\[10x-24x=3\]after you get that, all you need to do is solve for X
so you'd add both sides by 24x?
I have to go eat, but i actually did something wrong, you need to remember how to fix the improper fractions\[2\frac{ 4 }{ 5 }=\frac{ 14 }{ 5 }\]
so you get 2/3x-14/15x=6/5
alright I'll be here:p
so what happens is this,\[\frac{ 2x }{ 3 }-\frac{ 14x }{ 5 }=\frac{ 6 }{ 5 }\]you multiply both sides by 15 to get this\[15(\frac{ 2x }{ 3 }-\frac{ 14x }{ 5 })=15(\frac{ 6 }{ 5 })\rightarrow 10x-42x=18\rightarrow -32x=18\]
Just solve for the x in this case and you're done, i am so sorry that took forever for me to post, i kept messing up
so you divide both sides?
Yeah, you divide both sides by the -32 to get x alone and then you would have solved for x, and that would be your answer
0.5625?
Don't forget the negative, otherwise that's correct, except your answers are still in fraction form, so you don't need to use the decimal
For question 44, it's best to look at it in a different way, instead of 2 different fractions do this\[\frac{ 7 }{ 16 }*\frac{ 6a }{ 21 }=\frac{ 7*6*a }{ 16*21 }\]now if you remember that you can cancel like terms from the top and bottom, you can further simplify this by breaking down some of the numbers, since\[21=7*3\]\[16=2*8\]\[6=3*2\]you could rewrite the equation above like this\[\frac{ 7*3*2*a }{ 7*3*2*8 }\]so can you see what the final answer would be?
wait so 47 is c? and uhhh I'm not sure):
I'm sorry I'm dumb):
47 should be d, what should have happened is\[-32x=18\rightarrow x=\frac{ 18 }{ -32 }\rightarrow x=\frac{ 9 }{ -16 }\]and of course you're not dumb, some things are more difficult to understand than others, don't worry about it
Gracie, you're not dumb! I don't get this either .-.
oh okay! and thanks Michael(:
for 44, would it help if i wrote it out like this?\[\frac{ 7 }{ 7 }*\frac{ 2 }{ 2 }*\frac{ 3 }{ 3 }*\frac{ a }{ 8 }\]now what does\[\frac{ 7 }{ 7 }=?\]
Okay @Embryo is being really patient with this... And giving really good answers. If I could, I'd give you another medal :/
XD what can i say, it's not like i can just give up trying to help people, that's rude and inconsiderate, i'm not a teacher, but i will always try my best to provide help if when and where i can
