Please help. I have a math problem for a finance class. I need to find operating income using the formula OPERATING REVENUE-OPERATING EXPENSE= OPERATING INCOME and the difference between the two years. The first year the numbers fall into the formula as 421,314-437,424=-16,110. The next year is 462,982-462,293=689 So from the first year when the number is in the negative as -16,110 and the increase to the next year is 689. So the positive increase between the two years is 15,421. Is this right? I believe it is but one of my team members is arguing with me.
