The vertices of a quadrilateral are (0, 2), (4, 2), (–3, 0), and (5, 0). What type of quadrilateral is it? A. rhombus B. parallelogram C. rectangle D. trapezoid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Have you tried to graph it out on graph paper?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but i keep messing up.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you keep messing up on? I will graph it out for you in just a second.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i mess up on the 0,2 part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, the first number is the x and the second number is the y. The x means how many times you go to the right and the y is how many times you go up. X is always first. So for the zero, you would stay in the same spot and then move up 2 places for the y. (Does that make sense?)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. And here is the graph.

OpenStudy (nikosis01):

a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks! that looks like a trapezoid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup! You are correct. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks again! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem. :D
