If x can be any number, how many solutions are there for the equation? y = –2x + 4 A. There are two solutions. B. There is only one solution. C. There are many solutions. D. There is no solution.

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Kidding, I'm kidding, the equation is asking to solve for y, x can be any number, but y has only solution (that's 4). The equation is in slope intercept form {y = mx + b) m being the slope and b being the y-intercept

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Hope that helps :)

it does help but i still dont get what can be the answer @Jadeishere

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

if x can be any (real) number, then y can be any (real) number.
