how do i solve it? I started but I think im doing it wrong
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
\(\LARGE\color{blue}{ \rm \frac{-2(2q-1)(q+6)}{2q+1} }\) that is how it's factored.
Hence it (really) can't be simplified.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
how do I do that though? Can you walk me through hhow you did it?
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
Well I factored the top into
\(\large\color{blue}{ \rm (-4q+2)(q+6) }\) and then simplified the first parenthesis.

when checking the answer, its not correct according to the book..

Then you wrote the question incorrectly. I am positive about what I say.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
(4q^2-22q+12) divide by (2q+1)
