Lawyers: these were part of the bourgeoisie, who made up most of the deputies in the National Constituent Assembly, Legislative Assembly and National Convention (the government). Peasants: the poorest members of the Third Estate, from provincial France, sick of not having enough food, started riots everywhere, really annoyed about de-Christianisation, notable riot was the Vendee Rebellion Women: there were some prominent female figures in there, such as Charlotte Corday (stabbed Marat in his bathtub) and Madame Roland, were in the Women's March to Versailles on 5 October 1789 (got legislation signed, took the royal family to Paris), they were pretty much left out by the men and looked down on, but they were actually quite active in the Revolution in riots and protests and killing people and whatnot Clergy: the Upper Clergy usually just were corrupt, not religious and took money from the Church, the Lower Clergy were poor. Revolutionaries started hating on them and tried to get rid of the Church, which peeved a lot of peasants. Abbe Sieyes was a key figure of the Revolution, and he was from the Clergy. Jacobins: went around guillotining everyone. They were the major radical political party, and once they took power they started de-Christianising everything, getting really tight on 'counter-revolutionaries', and they introduced the Committee of Public Safety (who were the people who actually started guillotining, like, *everyone*) Sans-culottes: pretty much the driving force of the Revolution, became very radical, stormed palaces when they were pissed off, killed people and put their heads on pikes when they were pissed off, wanted food and bread and all that Revolutionary Army: Not sure if you mean the National Guard or the Revolutionary Army. National Guard started off as a body to keep order, but once they let the sans-culottes in, they started being another revolutionary force, and helped the sans-culottes to storm stuff. The Revolutionary Army was a baaaaaad idea, and went around guillotining people who weren't being revolutionary enough. CPS: Ended up dictating France, guillotines everywhere, guillotining anyone who didn't like them, went way too far
