Has anyone read Of Mice and Men? I have a couple questions if so. They're about the character Candy. What is his obstacle? Physical, emotional or mental? Is it a human rights issue or no? Why? How does he react to each obstacle and what is the effect of that response? Include a quote from the book to support it. How does time affect the characters approach to the obstacle? For the obstacle I believe it's physical because he's an older man, but I'm unsure!

it has been a while since i last read it so bear with me

his obstical should be enmotional

it is a human rights issue because he is old and is treated just like his dog.

He can't bring himself to shoot his pet himself, even "squirming" uncomfortably when he talks about it: "Well-hell! I had him so long. Had him since he was a pup" (3.56). We suspect this is the same fear that keeps him from making anything more of his life. He can't stand up for his pet, because he can't stand up for himself.

that is all I know sorry.
