OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Do you know how to undo a square root?

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Well, you can think of it like this: \[\sqrt{x} = x^{1/2}\] It's another way to write a square root. In order to get x by itself, we'll have to square both sides.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

\[(x^{1/2})^{2} = (-2)^{2}\]

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Mhm. c: The square root of 4 will give you both 2 and -2.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Yeshhh.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

If we went the other way, there would be. :3
