Can you help me please?
OpenStudy (mathmate):
The vector problem?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes...
OpenStudy (mathmate):
To multiply a vector by a scalar (pure number), you multiply each component of the vector by the scalar and end up with a new scalar.
For example,
2(3,4)=(6,8).
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so i have to multiply 3 and 4 and then 7 and 4?

yep!
The result is a "longer" vector.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
AND I would get 12 and 28...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
would that b my answer?
OpenStudy (mathmate):
written in the angle brackets, like the original vector v.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes (12,28)

omg so thats how you solve those problems, pretty easy...
OpenStudy (mathmate):
Angle brackets, not the round brackets like I did.
I was in a different language and could not find the angle brackets.
OpenStudy (mathmate):
Yep, you got that one right! :)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
no its okay its multiple choice :)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
