sure
OpenStudy (marissalovescats):
I know there are 315,360,000 seconds in a year but I'm unsure how to express it by showing work lol
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
well we need to somehow go from seconds to years
so we need to find equations that connect the two
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
so how many seconds are in a minute?
how many minutes are in an hour?
etc etc
keep going until you get to years
OpenStudy (marissalovescats):
60 seconds in an hour
24 hours in a day
365 days in a year

60 seconds = 1 minute (not 1 hour)
OpenStudy (marissalovescats):
Oops sorry haha
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
no worries
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
60 seconds = 1 minute
60 minutes = 1 hour
24 hours = 1 day
365 days = 1 year (assuming nonleap year)
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
you'll use those equations to convert seconds to years

oh you're going the other way around, years to seconds
OpenStudy (marissalovescats):
I all that had to be in there but I just wasn't sure how to do it
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
Start with 1 year

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
multiply by the conversion factor (365 days/1 year)
