Medal!! You and two friends visit a pizza shop. There are 15 toppings. 5 toppings are meat and the rest are vegetable. Each of you orders a different topping (no repeats) at random. What is the probability that your group orders only meat toppings?
The first person has a 8/13 chance of getting a meat topping. The second person has a 7/12 chance because there are no repeats, which means the third person would have a 6/11 chance. Since there are three of you, you multiply 8/13 * 7/12 * 6/11. That gives you a 19.6% chance or 336/1716
none of my options are that...
@THEGAMER607
then what are the options?
33/5 3,003/10 2/91 1/10
ok

@Hero
This is what I would say: There are three people. You and your two friends. Each selects a topping, meaning that 3 toppings are selected out of 15. This means there are 15 choose 3 possible orders that could happen. Since there are only 5 meat toppings, there are only 5 choose 3 ways to order only meat toppings. Thus the probability is its only meat would be 5C3 / 15C3
except that doesnt match anything, and i tried dividing it
The first person has a 5/15 chance of getting a meat topping. The second person has a 4/14 chance because there are no repeats, which means the third person would have a 3/13 chance. Since there are three of you, you multiply 5/15 * 4/14 * 3/13. That gives you approximately a 2.2% chance or 2/91
thank you! I appreciate you showing me!
