OpenStudy (taylovesmatthew):

11/8b=33

OpenStudy (anonymous):

24

OpenStudy (taylovesmatthew):

thank you but can you explain how you got that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you find the reciprocal of 11/8 which is 8/11 and times it to both sides to get the variable by itself

OpenStudy (xguardians):

@Smallboy3097 That is certainly wrong, if B was one, it would be 11/8 which is MUCH less than 33.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b is 24 @xGuardians

OpenStudy (xguardians):

If you times if by the reciprocal, it doesn't isolate the variable lol, check your work please, input 24. 11/8(24) = 33 11 / 192 = 33 .05 = 33? WRONG.

OpenStudy (xguardians):

11 / 8B = 33 Multiply 8B to other side. 11 = 264B Divide by 264. B = .0416

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright i guess you do the problem lol

geerky42 (geerky42):

You are right, @xGuardians , only if question is \(\dfrac{11}{8b}\), but remember it could be \(\dfrac{11}{8}b\), so @Smallboy3097 may be right. Which is it? @TayLovesMatthew

OpenStudy (xguardians):

Oh, so very true, my bad, I had misinterpreted it, @Smallboy3097 is probably correct, sorry about that, he wouldn't get a problem that hard probably.

OpenStudy (taylovesmatthew):

it was 11 over 8b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then @xGuardians you were right

OpenStudy (taylovesmatthew):

no sorry beside it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow then i had it correct

OpenStudy (xguardians):

@Smallboy3097 Is right lol.

geerky42 (geerky42):

cheers!
