Please help just a quick look im not sure with my reasoning - which of the following graphs could be a representation of a geometric sequence? CHECK ALL THAT APPLY

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soooo i know that in a geometric the ration will double between each term therefore i think A is one of the answers would B also be an answer since its the same type of graph but in a geometric sequence the ration can also be a negative therefore B is an answer too ????

Any one what to do ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@phi @campbell_st Hi there i was wondering if you would help me with this problem?

OpenStudy (phi):

yes, A looks geometric. but in general, a geometric series has a fixed ratio between terms in A the ratio is 2 but it could be any number.

OpenStudy (phi):

in B, the ratio looks like ½. So that would also be geometric

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh ok n_n so fixed number than .... yay .. would this two be the only ones?? @phi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because the other ones are a line and an exponential

OpenStudy (phi):

yes. c is a straight line, so definitely not that one d looks like the graph of a log.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhhh ok then thank you soo A and B are it n_n -- thank you for explanining ! :) @phi
