OpenStudy (amoodarya):

a cos A +b cos B +c cos C =0.5(a+b+c) what is the type pf triangle ?

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

|dw:1402656056142:dw|

OpenStudy (amoodarya):

yes it is one of the answer ! but can you prove it by geometry ?

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

is there anyother answer ? cuz i guess this is unique unless u have info about a,b,c worth to try :)

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

so like this or a,b,c any numbers ? |dw:1402656396441:dw|

OpenStudy (amoodarya):

yes they are for a triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try using cosine law

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

one answer is this a cos A +b cos B +c cos C =0.5 a+0.5 b+ 0.5c a cos A =0.5 a b cos B = 0.5 b c cos C =0.5c lets see if cosine law work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i love it when you make everything look easy ^^

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

hehe ty :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nice Q

OpenStudy (loser66):

very nice proof

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

have you other method @Loser66 ?

OpenStudy (amoodarya):

which proof ? you are talking about ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ikram002p Best Response Medals 2 one answer is this a cos A +b cos B +c cos C =0.5 a+0.5 b+ 0.5c a cos A =0.5 a b cos B = 0.5 b c cos C =0.5c lets see if cosine law work

OpenStudy (amoodarya):

may not be other type of triangle !?

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

well u have to consider this a,b,c all>0 a+b>c a+c>b b+c>a so the solution is unique ... u can go with cosine law to prove it

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

or law of sine ( ill see if this is gonna work ) |dw:1402769036980:dw|
