Solve the inequality

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ (3 + t) }{ 5 } > 6\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

t > 10 t > 27 t > 8 t > 3 2/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please just hurry i gotta finish in 10 min.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you multiply both sides with a positive quantity the inequality sign will not change

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiply both sides of the inequality by the denominator. Since the denominator is positive, the sense (direction) of the inequality will not change. That will give you something you can solve pretty directly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{3+t}{5} > 6 \implies 3+t >30 \implies t > 27\]I wouldn't say that's too hard.
