(2x^2+xy+3y^2)-(x^2-xy+2y^2) Im stuck
Ok, so the first thing you want to do is make sure you have a pencil and some paper (strange request, I know, but it will make sense in a few moments!) The second thing to do is to distribute the negative throughout the equation. -(x^2-xy+2y^2). (treat the negative in front of the parentheses like a -1 (since technically the 1 is invisible)). What happens when you multiply everything in the parenthesis by -1?
I know this is a strange request and sounds really well dumb but could you tell me the answer. I work better , working backwards. Ill explain back on why you got the answer.
Ok, sure thing! The answer is x^2 + 2xy + y^2. I hope this helps!
(and don't worry, I work the same way a lot of times :) )
