The instructions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so does the question want you to find the measure of the other angles? It says "complete the instructions that follow" but I don't see those instructions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry it is finding arc DE or angle DBE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Angle DBE is around 29 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, I think I've got it. First, you want to break down this thing into a smaller problem, so it's less overwhelming. I see that this angle is part of a 180 degree one. What else do you notice about the angles around it? What happens if you combine this angle with another? Does it look like a familiar angle then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Specifically, look at the 61 degree one in relation to the angle you are supposed to find.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ya a 90 so maybe CBA is 90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so Internet Explorer isn't the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup! So then how would you use that information to find the smaller angle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perhaps you could use subtraction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya ik thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

CBD is 90 and therefore EBD is 90 - 61 = 29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you able to find the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya it was 29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes! Good job! :)
