I don't understand how to find x in this? Can someone give me a format or something to follow?

so you'd know what the "missing angle" is, since is opposite to (2y+x), it'd be the same now notice that the sum of all those angles, go really around and comes back to the beginning, thus making up a circle , thus ADDING UP to 360 degrees meaning that \(\bf (2y+x)^o+{\color{brown}{ (2y+x)^o}}+(4x)^o+(2y-x)^o=360^o\) thus just solve for "x"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(2y+x) + (2y-x) = 180 4y = 180 y = 45 Now 4x + 2y+x = 180 5x +2*45 = 180 x = 18

Thank you both so much for the help. I'm new to geometry, coming from Algebra so you could only imagine how difficult the transition is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, transition is difficult. Keep posting. :)

Will do. :)
