To do this, all you have to do is multiply -4 by itself 3 times. Doing this gives you \[-4*-4*-4=-64\] \[-4*-4=16\] this is because two negative numbers become positive when you multiply them together, however when you multiply the final -4 to the 16 you currently have, you are given \[16 * -4 = -64\] because the negative 4 makes the final product negative as opposed to 64.

(-3)^3 =?

This is essentially the same thing, only with -3\[-3*-3*-3=?\]\[-3*-3=9\]\[9*-3=-27\]There you go @dan815
