Some mutations only affect an individual gene. What type of mutation is this? A. gene mutation B. point mutation C. frameshift mutation D. fatal mutation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Point Mutation: a mutation affecting only one or very few nucleotides in a gene sequence. Frameshift Mutation: A frameshift mutation (also called a framing error or a reading frame shift) is a genetic mutation caused by indels (insertions or deletions) of a number of nucleotides in a DNA sequence that is not divisible by three. Fatal Mutation: I'm assuming is a mutation that leads to death. Gene mutation: A gene mutation is a permanent change in the DNA sequence that makes up a gene. Mutations range in size from a single DNA building block (DNA base) to a large segment of a chromosome. Gene mutations occur in two ways: they can be inherited from a parent or acquired during a person's lifetime. Hm...I'm not 100% positive on the answer. I would say either point or fatal. You should get a second opinion though.
