Question 2 (Multiple Choice Worth 5 points) [3.02] If A = {positive integers divisible by 2} and B = {integers}, what is A ∩ B? { } {2, 4, 6, 8 …} {2, 4, 6, 8, 10} {1, 2, 3, 4, 5 …} -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question 3 (Multiple Choice Worth 5 points) [3.02] If C = {integers divisible by 2 from 1 to 20} and D = {integers divisible by 6 from 1 to 25}, what is C ∩ D? {2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 24} {6, 12, 18} {6, 12, 18, 24} { }

Please help me with this

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

A = {positive integers divisible by 2} = {2, 4, 6, 8, ...} B = {integers} = {..., -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, ...} A ∩ B means the set of numbers that are common to both A and B So, just pick out the elements that you would find in both A and in B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B. {2,4,6,8....}

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

yes :)

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

Try to do the same with question 3. Write our the numbers represented by your set, like C = {2, 4, 6, 8, ..., 18, 20}. Do the same with D, an then pick out the common elements from both sets.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

{6,12,18}

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

yes indeed :)

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

omg there are so many questions @_@

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

are there specific ones you need help with?
