Well, do you know what tone is?
yes, the way of saying the sentence
Not quite. It is the character or narrator's attitude towards some subject. So it can be formal, informal, serious, comic, sarcastic, sad, cheerful, and so on.
oh ok… so it is true
Well, first person is something with an I or a we. However, because a narrator can define the tone with third person, say "He looked out over the crowd with a disdainful scowl." I would not think it was always first person.
oh.. i really fought it was true, well at least i get it now thanks :) next time i'll know it's false :)
Can you help me with this too ? : "The hasty smiles and their best imitations of what they think of as their "normal" faces is an example of imagery. True or False ? @e.mccormick
Well, I have found some questions where my opinion is not always right. However, every reference I have seen says that tone can be done by a narrator. And a narrator does not necessarily use first person. So by logic, false. But sometimes people have a "hard" rule listed in a book so the answer in the class is not logical. LOL!
Well, imagry = senses. It is more than just sight. It is things that evoke the sights, sounds, tastes, touches, or smells through words.
thanks so its true ?
Yes, I think so. The hasty smile is something you would see, as is the "normal" face. Sort of like when someone sees something really disgusting, but they are trying to pretend it is OK. So they quickly smile and try to look like nothing is wrong. Very visual.
