angles in a triangle add up to 180° so you see your ans is off cos (x) = adjacent / hypotenuse= 12/13 look up the inverse cos to get the angle

OpenStudy (triciaal):

another way of doing this is to use pythagorean theorem and find the length of the other side sq rt (13^2 - 12^2) = 5 then applying sin ratios knowing the sin of 90° = 1 13/1 = 5/sin x solve for sin x then look up the inverse sin to get the measure of the angle

OpenStudy (shaw74):

what was the answer? I am done but I would still like to know what the correct answer was. I was wrong

OpenStudy (triciaal):

this is what I had above cos (x) = adjacent / hypotenuse= 12/13 look up the inverse cos to get the angle cos x = 12/13 = 0.92307 cos(-1) x on the calculator gives 22.619 to the nearest hundredth means to 2 decimal places I got 22.62° is that what you are saying you got wrong?
