what is the slope shown?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so I know I have to pick to points...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

two

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You start at one of the points, I recommend the bottom point, then you count up to the the same y coordinate as the other point, then count over to the higher point, you your first number goes on top then the second goes on bottom of your fraction, you need to know whether you went left or right to determine if it is positive or negative. Did your counting take you towards the negative, if so then it is negative.

the choices are 4/5 1 5/4 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that right @cmorse ? that's what I got

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try this filling this in \[\frac{ y _{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good luck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4/5 right!!!!!!!!!!!???????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) (-6,0)...x1 = -6 and y1 = 0 (4,8)...x2 = 4 and y2 = 8 now we sub slope = (8 - 0) / (4 - (-6) slope = 8/(4 + 6) slope = 8/10 slope = 4/5 you are right :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!!!!!!!!!@kelliegirl33

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem :)
