Which part of the trinomial will equal to the product of P and Q. (x+p)(x+q) would it be a constant term or the degree? maybe the coefficient of x-term or the coefficient of x^2-term?

OpenStudy (dan815):

It can be any part honestly but, generally people using the foil method write that in the last term

OpenStudy (dan815):

\[(x+p)(x+q)=x^2+(p+q)x+qp\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be a constant term or the degree? maybe the coefficient of x-term or the coefficient of x^2-term

OpenStudy (dan815):

Oh constant term if p and q are not variables

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you :)

OpenStudy (dan815):

welcome :)
