DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AVERAGE VELOCITY AND INSTANTENEUS VELOCITY

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Any ideas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(f(x1) - f(x0))/(x1 - x0) - f'(x) haha im so funny

OpenStudy (fwizbang):

Instantaneous velocity = velocity at a particular moment in time(right .....now!) = dx/dt Average Velocity = velocity averaged over a time interval(say between 3:00 and 3:30 yesterday) = (Change in x)/(Change in t) = (x_f - x_i)/(t_f-t_i)
