Can someone help me? I'm not completely sure of the answer.
Which of these lines from the passage has an admiring tone? "It was easy to see that if he had been clean and well dressed he would have been decidedly good-looking." "Washing the face and hands is usually considered proper in commencing the day, but wingspan was above such refinement." "His pants were torn in several places, and had apparently belonged in the first instance to a boy two sizes larger than himself." "He had no particular dislike to dirt, and did not think it necessary to remove several dark streaks on his face and hands." I believe it is the last one!

To admire is to regard an object or person with respect, showing warm approval, or to look at with pleasure. With that said, the first choice is admiring the qualities he'd have if he were clean, and approving that it would be easy to distinguish such good qualities.
