Which test point holds true for y − 2x ≤ 1? (0, 2) (-2, 4) (1, 4) (5, 0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think that its 0, 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i recommend, as you may have done, just plugging the numbers in and seeing what works.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure how

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright so in all of your points take the first one (0, 2). the 0 is your x and the 2 is your y because a point is written as x comma y. so take your 0 and substitute it where the x is. your equation is now y - 2(0) is less than or equal to 1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

was i correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now take your y and plug that in where the y is. your full equation is now 2-2(0) is less than or equal to 1. No, you were not correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you understand how to solve it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(1,4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes great job. thats right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it said it was wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, i see what the problem may be, i may have accidentally switched the points. I'm sorta doing this in my head which isnt that smart but eh XD ill try it again sorry for that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright, i just did the remaining two and your answer should be the last option (5, 0) do you see why?
