OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

If you can, please attempt to explain this :)

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Parth (parthkohli):

What value does the function take when \(x =18\)? In the graph, that's the corresponding \(y\)-coordinate when \(x=18\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

go to the right 18 and look at where you are on the y axis

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

Thanks for you help. I'm tired and - what an oversight!!

Parth (parthkohli):

The thing that bothers me is that none of the choices match what I'm getting.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

D then, I assume. $5,250

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

C'mon, it has to be D, haha.

Parth (parthkohli):

That's the closest. The real answer is \(2500 + 150\cdot 18 =2500 + 2700 = 5200.\)

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

geez, thats what I got originally when I plugged in f(x) = 150(18) + 2500

Parth (parthkohli):

But yeah, you can go with D.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

@satellite73 Thoughts?

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

@ParthKohli Assuming this is true then is this the correct answer of this (another) question?

Parth (parthkohli):

That is correct.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

And this, too? (separate problem)

Parth (parthkohli):

Yes.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

@ParthKohli

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

And- after this, thats all I wanted to review :) thanks

Parth (parthkohli):

The second one with cats and humans is right. The first one has to be something along the lines of that, yes.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

The speeding tickets one was incorrect.

OpenStudy (dumbsearch2):

@ParthKohli Happen to know why?

Parth (parthkohli):

Well... that's why I wasn't too sure about it. Even though no correlation and no information mean totally different things, it was pretty hard to make the difference out in this context.
