i don't understand how to do proofs.. help?
What type of proofs are you working on? And do you have a specific example to work with in explaining? Generally, proofs are something that are very clearly laid out for a reader, so you must be very thorough and connect each step of the proof logically. Your main goal is to use any theorems/postulates/corollaries that you had learned to create those arguments.
Rather than type out a ton, I think this goes over some aspects of proofs well: http://www.regentsprep.org/Regents/math/geometry/GP3/WhatPrf.HTM The method of working forward or backward to understand the proof process. And you should always be patient with these proofs, they are not like algebra problems that you can churn out on a whim once you know a set of instructions. You learn the method of proofs both because it's good to understand Geometry (it leads into many other subjects) and it is good to be able to build effective arguments based on fact. in a similar way of thinking.
