How do I convert f(x)=x^2-4 to vertex form?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

hmm its already in vertex form

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

middle term is 0 --> (x-0)^2 -4 vertex at (0,-4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh, Alright! Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But then is it already in standard form also?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

yes it is....i guess technically you would write it as (x-0)^2 for vertex form though its not needed
